Rat on the Run iPhone App Reviewed
Overall
Overall this app is a fantastic buy. For just $1.99 you’re getting 3 different games. These 3 games are:

While these titles may not sound amazingly interesting, they’re fun games. This app has one of the “more polished” app designs I’ve seen in the App Store, so it won’t hurt your eyes. I would give Rat on the Run a 4/5 stars.
A brief synopsis of each game:
-Challenges are the main campaign – Not only do you need to avoid the “enemies”, you also need to keep the rat full with cheese.
-Arcade Play would be great when playing with a friend – I feel it is difficult, but simulates an arcade setting. Much in common with the Challenges.
-Rat on a Scooter is a minigame where you need to keep the rat on a platform – Personally this is my favorite part of the app.
Details
Beginning with the challenges, I’d like to say that these challenges truly are a challenge. With 25 challenging levels, you will not be able to put the app down until you’ve won the challenges.
To make the challenges harder, you need to keep the rat’s stomach full by eating cheese and avoiding spiders, goo, spikes, and enemies of all sorts. Because the app is played with the rat always running forward, these challenges are quite a challenge.
Extras
Rat on a Scooter is a minigame and the object of it being to collect peanuts. Here I found a minor fault, if you’re collecting cheese for the first part, why peanuts for the second? The scooter moves and you need to jump onto platforms.
I have to admit that I spend more time on the minigame than I do on the main “campaign”, but Rat on a Scooter won’t disappoint. Its controls are great and it runs smoothly. I really like the animation for when the rat has just its front wheel on the platform.
Conclusion
If you were ever a fan of the Super Mario Brothers or Sonic games, this app should be a must-have for you. I’d advise anyone who wants an app that will last for more than a week to challenge this one. This app receives 4/5 stars
